Bank of Canton Celebrates Grand Openings of Its Waltham Mortgage Center

March 6, 2009 – George DeMello, Senior Vice President of Residential Lending for Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce that the Bank of Canton is expanding its residential lending presence in the Metro West region with a new Mortgage Center at 275 Wyman Street, Suite 160, in Waltham. 

“We are very proud of the team we have assembled in Waltham and are excited to provide the region with another convenient way to access the exemplary customer service, cutting edge products and competitive rates that are our hallmarks,” said DeMello. “Thanks to our incredibly loyal customers and new Mortgage Centers in Auburn and Marshfield, we increased our residential mortgage loan originations by more than $120 million last year.  With an expanded presence in Waltham, we hope to continue on our path of growth and offer more mortgages to Metro West residents.”

The new branch will service clients throughout the region. The team in the new Mortgage Center will provide clients with the following programs and services:

• Home building and lot loans for builders and developers
• Construction and rehabilitation loans for homeowners
• First time home buyers counseling
• Government loan programs such as FHA and Mass Housing
