Bank of Canton Donates $500 to Catholic Charities South

May 20, 2009 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $2,500 to Catholic Charities South. This contribution helps support Catholic Charities’ Basic Needs Emergency Services which provides assistance to people in need of food, fuel, rental or utility assistance.

“Right now in Massachusetts, countless families are living right on the margins—a place where one more bill or one less paycheck could put a family right over the edge,” said Tiziana C. Dearing, President of Catholic Charities of Boston. “Contributions like the one made by Bank of Canton exemplify a commitment to the sustainability of families in this community and to the mission of Catholic Charities.”

Catholic Charities South has a tradition of meeting the emerging and changing needs of children and families in Brockton and surrounding communities. Annually, they serve more than 24,000 children, adults, and families from more than 30 cities and towns.
