Bank of Canton Donates $5,500 to Canton Food Pantry

June 25, 2009 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $5,500 to the Canton Food Pantry. This contribution helps support the Pantry’s mission of providing assistance to any Canton citizen who is having difficulty purchasing food because of monetary constraints.

“Right now, there are families in Canton struggling to get by and put food on the table, and the Canton Food Pantry is dedicated on making sure all of our local residents have this basic human  necessity,” said Janet Pratt, President of the Canton Help Line. “Contributions like the one made by Bank of Canton exemplify a commitment to the sustainability of families in this community and to the mission of the Canton Food Pantry.”

The Canton Food Pantry is a member community of the Greater Boston Food Bank. They now serve about 80 clients every other week in The Marilyn G. Rodman Center at 960 Washington Street in Canton, MA.
