Bank of Canton Donates $750 to Temple Beth Abraham

July 15, 2009 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton is pleased to announce its recent donation of $750 to Temple Beth Abraham. This contribution will help sponsor the 21st annual Canton Fall Classic Road Race taking place on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Proceeds from the race will go towards the Temple’s general fund with plans on making handicap-access improvements at their Canton location.

“For over 20 years, the Fall Classic Road Race has been a tradition here in Canton with more and more runners taking part each year,” said Richard Zides, Co-Director of the Canton Fall Classic Road Race. “But this wonderful event wouldn’t be possible without the support of sponsors like the Bank of Canton. We certainly appreciate their generosity and on-going commitment to our community.”

“The members of Temple Beth Abraham have a desire to get involved in their community, and the Bank of Canton shares in that dedication,” said Mr. Costello. “We are pleased to lend our support to such a tremendous organization and we know the Canton Fall Classic Road Race will be a successful event.”

The Canton Fall Classic is a scenic and challenging 10K course and has been hailed as one of the South Shore’s finest races. This year’s race is expected to attract over 500 runners and features a 5K alternative and Children’s Fun Run. Founded in 1914, Temple Beth Abraham has served Canton and its surrounding areas as a center of Jewish living and learning.
