Bank of Canton Donates $10,000 to Canton Little League

July 29, 2009 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $10,000 to the Canton Little League. This contribution helped support the purchase of a new digital Daktronics scoreboard for the league’s Haywood Sullivan Field located at 100 Dedham Street behind the John F. Kennedy Elementary School. In addition, some of the funds went towards upgrading two of the league’s existing scoreboards at both Crawford and Ruane Field.

"Our goal is to provide our kids with a great environment for baseball and that includes the opportunity to play on the best facilities available. In troubled times like these, it is the generosity of sponsors like Bank of Canton that help keep the league going strong, and we cannot overstate the importance of this donation."

The newly constructed Haywood Sullivan Field is used for players in the minor and major leagues. The Canton Little League serves over 800 children, ages 5-16, in the local community.
