Bank of Canton Donates $1,500 to Quincy Medical Center

September 3, 2009 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $1,500 to the Quincy Medical Center (QMC). This contribution will be used to help support the 12th annual QMC Cancer Walk on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Pageant Field in Merrymount Park. The QMC Cancer Walk benefits the Marie A. Curry Fund, a permanently endowed fund at Quincy Medical Center supporting free cancer screenings, educational programs, medical equipment and outreach to the South Shore community.

“Quincy Medical Center plays a critical role in making sure the residents of the South Shore receive the comprehensive healthcare they need,” said Bob Curry, Chairman of the Quincy Medical Center Board of Directors and the QMC Cancer Walk. “As a community hospital, we are the first place many people turn to for their healthcare and education, but this would not be possible without the support of the corporate partners like Bank of Canton. We appreciate the Bank’s contribution to the Cancer Walk and hope, in turn, that their generosity leads to the generosity of many others throughout our community.”
