Bank of Canton Donates $5,000 to New England Center for Homeless Veterans

November 3, 2009 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton, is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $5,000 to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans. This contribution will be used to help support the 7th Annual “Leave No One Behind” Dinner and Silent Auction on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at The Seaport Hotel in Boston. Proceeds from the event enable the Center to continue providing programs like Training School, Housing Placement, and Job Placement and Retention that address day-to-day and long-term needs of thousands of veterans throughout New England.

“The New England Center for Homeless Veterans plays a critical role in making sure the homeless men and women veterans are getting the help they need to address challenges such as addiction, mental illness and unemployment,” said Laurence D. Celebrating it’s 20th year of service, the New England Center for Homeless Veterans is a substance free, non-profit organization that empowers veterans in need with tools to achieve independent living. The Center has served over 16,000 homeless veterans since its inception in 1989, and is recognized as one of the most effective private veterans’ transition programs in the country.
