Bank of Canton Donates $1,000 to The Good Shepherd's Maria Droste Services

May 4, 2010 – Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $1,000 to The Good Shepherd’s Maria Droste Services. This contribution helps sponsor the Fifth Annual Darlene Sheehan Fashion Gala on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 6 p.m.–10 p.m. at Lantana’s in Randolph. The annual gala is dedicated and named in honor of Darlene Sheehan, who died of ovarian cancer in August 2005. Volunteers will take to the runway to model collections of spring ensembles from Caryn’s Corner and Hajjar’s of Quincy.

“Proceeds from the Fifth Annual Darlene Sheehan Fashion Gala support our agency’s mission to offer quality counseling and holistic therapy services to the economically challenged individual and family of the South Shore community,” said Sr. Lorraine Bernier, Administrator at the Maria Droste Services. “We are very grateful to Bank of Canton for supporting our ministry, and we thank them for their generous donation.”

The Good Shepherd’s Maria Droste Services was established in Quincy in 1992 and offers professional counseling and holistic therapies with respect and compassion in order that each person may recognize his/her innate worth and find reconciliation within oneself and with others. It is owned and operated by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd.
