Bank of Canton Donates $1,000 to Temple Beth Abraham

May 27, 2010 - Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of Bank of Canton is pleased to announce its recent donation of $1,000 to Temple Beth Abraham. This contribution will help sponsor the 22nd annual Canton Fall Classic Road Race taking place on Sunday, October 31, 2010. Proceeds from the race will go towards the Temple’s second phase of making handicap-access improvements at their Canton location. The first phase, including a new ramp and railings was completed last year. The second phase will include new lighting, an automatic door, and handicap parking signage.

“Bringing the Temple up to code and helping those that need assistance is certainly something we are proud of and feel good about,” said Richard Zides, Director of the Canton Fall Classic Road Race. “The Fall Classic Road Race has been a tradition here in Canton for over 20 years, but it wouldn’t be possible without the support of partners like Bank of Canton. They continue to lend a hand to those who need it most and we thank them for generosity.”

The Canton Fall Classic Road Race is a scenic and challenging 10K course and has been hailed as one of the South Shore’s finest races. This year’s race is expected to attract over 600 runners and features a 5K alternative and Children’s Fun Run. Founded in 1914, Temple Beth Abraham has served Canton and its surrounding areas as a center of Jewish living and learning.
